John Gunderson
John Gunderson, MD is a Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School in Boston. At McLean Hospital he is Director of the Borderline Center’s clinical, training, and research program. His studies on the diagnosis and treatment of borderline personality disorder helped transform BPD to an internationally recognized disorder and earned him recognition as the “father” of Borderline Personality Disorder. He has increased awareness of the burdens for families and championed the involvement of families as collaborators.
